I’m on the verge of a literary breakthrough.

I’ve gained dozens of loyal fans.

I shouldn’t brag, I know, but there are so many of them all of a sudden. They flood my blog posts with flattering comments.

Most are from the Brașov Orphan Girls School of Gothic Arts.

It began with Melisande:

Hey There. I found your weblog using msn. That is a really smartly written article.

Melisande Cecilio Loved

Boy, did I blush? Thanks so much, Melisande.

How about these?

Excellent article! We will be linking to this great article on our site. Keep up the good writing.

Deirdre Van Acacia

Wonderful work! That is the kind of information that is meant to be shared across the web.

Jessamyn Donavon Leonor

Wow! Discovered at last — the book sales will soar with that sort of support.

Don’t you love their three-part names? Like 19th century novelists — “Louisa May Alcott? Meet Jessamyn Donavon Leonor.”

This article was really motivating, especially since I was browsing for thoughts on this subject.

Fawne Dillon Winterbottom

Very good article. I am facing some of these issues as well.

Robenia Nevins Glynda

Wow. A little humbling. Odd comments on a blog about Busselton, but … okay.

That’s when it hit me. All the posts have different return email addresses (all slightly weird, truth be told) but the same parent site — filmkovski.org.

Women? Three-part names from another century? Broken English? I’ve been adopted by a Central European school for homeless lassies who’ve been given new identities while they learn video production to escape their poverty — the Brașov Orphan Girls School of Gothic Arts!

I imagine them gathering in the Transylvanian woods on summer days — close enough to the school to get wi-fi, obviously — while they ponder my blogs and discuss our great language.

Bless ‘em, some of the youngsters really need help:

Hello Dear, are you genuinely visiting this web site daily, if so then you will definitely get pleasant knowledge.

Libbie Puff Davine

A bit personal for a business email, Libbie. Just saying.

When some one searches for his essential thing, so he/she desires to be available that in detail, thus that thing is maintained over here.

Kendre Weylin Leffen

Needs a little work, Kendre.

Curabitur ut sem finibus sapien consectetur scelerisque sit amet ut enim. Duis eget pulvinar tortor.

De Reed Billat

Err, is that Latin, De? **

The girls’ aren’t posting quite as often lately.

I’m bereft.

Have they moved on? Found another paragon of English expression on which to base their study? **sigh** I shall just have to take heart from my other fans. The ones who offer me viagra substitutes at knockdown prices or pre-written exam answers. **WTF?**

I can’t imagine what might ease my despair — unless you buy a copy of GUN-SHY. 🙂

It’s only US99c on pre-order for launch on January 7. 🙂 Go on, make a struggling author shunned by the Brașov Orphan Girls School of Gothic Arts smile again. 🙂

Happy New Year, everyone. It’s gotta be better than 2020, hasn’t it?

Cheers

BTW — In case it’s not the bleedin’ obvious, please, please don’t search Filmkovski. I haven’t, and I never will.

I don’t want my dreams to be dashed.

** No need for Google translate. I tried it already. I got:

For the chocolate be used to keep the ends of the homework need volleyball temperature.
